Fisher makes US team

The final roster was set for the World University games, and Corey Fisher is on that roster.  He and Penn State point guard Talor Battle beat out Arizona’s Nic Wise for a spot on the roster.  Fisher was benefited by Kansas point guard Sherron Collins pulling out due to family reasons.

The team, led by Wisconsin Head Coach Bo Ryan, will travel to Belgrade, Serbia, where they will compete from July 3-July 11.  The first game will be against Finland.

Here is the entire roster:

Jarvis Vanardo (Mississippi State)

Trevor Booker (Clemson)

Lazar Hayward (Marquette)

Robbie Hummel (Purdue)

Quincy Pondexter (Washington)

Deon Thompson (North Carolina)

Da’Sean Butler (West Virginia)

Craig Brackens (Iowa State)

Evan Turner (Ohio State)

James Anderson (Oklahoma State)

Corey Fisher (Villanova)

Talor Battle (Penn State)
