Quick Recap: Villanova 97 Delaware 63

In what was no surprise to anyone, Villanova took care of easily to win its final non-conference game of the season.  Led by 22 points and 6 assists from Scottie Reynolds, the Wildcats will now enter Big East play with an 11-1 record.

Alongside Reynolds, the recently activated Reggie Redding played well for his second straight game, notching 16 points and 6 rebounds.  Corey Fisher was the only other starter to finish in double-figures in scoring, tallying 14 points.

Off the bench, Taylor King once again impressed, finishing with 19 points and 12 rebounds.  The rebounding total was a career high and also gave King his first career double-double.

Out for the Wildcats in this contest was center Maurice Sutton, who had an upper respiratory infection.  The loss of Sutton’s height did not seem to be a major factor as the Wildcats outrebounded the Blue Hens 39 to 19.

The Wildcats will now have over a week to prepare for a trip to Marquette on Jan. 2.
